31 August 2013 – Sydney, Australia – Friedman Corporation (“Friedman”) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Constellation Software (TSX:CSU, “Constellation”), announced that its subsidiary Markinson Business Solutions Pty Ltd (“Markinson”) has completed the purchase of the Korellus ERP software solutions business operations and assets of ComOps Limited (ASX:COM, “ComOps”).
The agreement to purchase the Korellus ERP business was subject to ComOps shareholder approval, which was granted prior to closing.
The Korellus operation includes the Korellus software suite, which encompasses enterprise resource planning (ERP), point-of-sale (POS), field automation, and business intelligence applications serving a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, fast moving consumer goods and retail. 
Korellus products are used by a variety of medium and large enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region, including Toshiba, Coca-Cola, and Dulux. 
Ian Whiting, Chief Executive Officer of Markinson, commented “The addition of the ERP solutions of ComOps further extends the reach of Markinson in these regions and provides the customers of those solutions a company with a strong financial foundation, firm focus on customer satisfaction and an opportunity to grow their business with a quality partner.”

31 May CEO Ian Whiting takes on his Sixth Oxfam Trailwalker Challenge
Markinson is again proud to sponsor the efforts of CEO Ian Whiting in the Brisbane Oxfam Trailwalker during the weekend of 14-16 June 2013.  This will be Ian’s sixth Oxfam Trailwalker.
Oxfam Trailwalker is one of the toughest challenges in the world.  It involves teams of four walking 100km through the Australian bush within 48 hours, raising funds to help communities around the world overcome poverty and injustice.
Ian is undertaking this epic journey as part of a team named ‘Clinically Insane’.  With a combined age of over 200 years, they say you have to be clinically insane to do what they do at their age. 
We think we might have to start calling Ian ‘Cliff Young’.  In training for this challenge, Ian has walked the equivalent distance of Brisbane to Melbourne.  He also recently completed the Melbourne Trailwalker in 30 hours.
Last year, Ian was one of nine people who successfully completed the Oxfam Trailwalker in all three cities it was held.  This year, the addition of Perth means the Trailwalker is being held in four cities.
