Markinson's CEO goes the distance for Oxfam
Regarded as one of the world’s toughest charity events, Oxfam Trailwalker is the ultimate team challenge. Held annually in ten countries around the world, the Oxfam walk was recently held at the stunning Lake Taupo of New Zealand.
Markinson’s CEO, Ian Whiting, while no stranger to going the distance in support of Oxfam, experienced his first walk in New Zealand.
As a seasoned Oxfam Australia trailwalker, Whiting tackled the 100km endurance walk around Lake Taupo in a team of four and completed the trail in 24 hours and 22 minutes.
Whiting says, “The Oxfam Trailwalker event is a great team challenge and it feels great to be part of such a worthy cause.”
His team raised $2486 to go towards Oxfam’s work against poverty.
